Privacy Policy
GemiHub Desktop is a local-first desktop application. The developer does not operate a GemiHub cloud service and does not collect your documents, prompts, credentials, or usage analytics.
1. Data stored on your device
Your Workspace files, application settings, chat history, workflow data, indexes, memos, file history, plugin data, and configured credentials are stored locally on your device or in locations you select. GemiHub Desktop accesses files that you explicitly open and files within the Workspace and Files directories you authorize.
Some features can encrypt selected files and secrets. You are responsible for protecting your device, passwords, backups, and local files.
2. Optional AI and external services
AI features are optional. When you configure and use an AI provider, local CLI, embedding provider, MCP server, Plugin, Discord bot, synchronization service, web request, or similar integration, the content needed for that request may be sent directly from your device to the service you selected. Depending on the action, this may include prompts, selected text, file contents, search material, tool inputs, or account identifiers.
Those services process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Review their policies and configuration before sending sensitive information. The developer of GemiHub Desktop does not receive data sent directly to services you configure.
3. Network access
Without optional connected features, GemiHub Desktop can be used as a local document and knowledge workspace. Network access occurs when you request or enable functionality that requires it, such as AI APIs, OAuth authorization, web content, RAG embeddings, MCP servers, Plugins, Discord, or file synchronization.
4. Diagnostics and telemetry
GemiHub Desktop does not include developer-operated advertising, behavioral tracking, or usage analytics. Errors and operational logs may be stored locally. If you voluntarily submit a bug report, you decide what diagnostic information or files to share.
5. Data sharing and sale
The developer does not sell your personal data. The developer does not share your local application data with third parties. Data is transmitted to a third party only through features and services that you configure or invoke, or when required by law.
6. Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it. You can remove Workspace files, histories, settings, credentials, and plugin data using the application or your operating system. Uninstalling the application may not delete separately stored Workspace files or configuration data.
For data sent to an external provider, consult that provider’s retention and deletion policies.
7. Children’s privacy
GemiHub Desktop is a general-purpose productivity application and is not directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the application’s data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
